A classic Porsche, meticulously rebuilt with the appearance of a 1972 911 S. However, under the skin lies up to date technology, refinements and improvements.
This 911 makes an impact wherever it goes; not due to being brash and ‘obvious’, but because it is subtle in its demeanour. It is a Porsche for the driver, for one who appreciates the finer things in life, and doesn’t need to shout about it.
Created, with exquisite attention to detail, by one of the best in the business, only the most perceptive would query if it were, indeed, an original from 1972.
It is only when you drive this Targa, or look under the rear engine lid, that you realise you are behind the wheel of a truly unique 911.
The body structure, dipped and coated, then strengthened and refinished, makes this Targa significantly tauter than any original. Suspension, brakes and fuel systems have been renewed or rebuilt. Bilstein sports shock absorbers with turbo-spec anti roll bars provide ride and handling that’s better than any previous F or G model Targa.
The engine, a 3.0 litre, has been totally rebuilt, and now comes equipped with individual throttle bodies, fuel injection and coil packs. All managed by a modern, programmable ECU. SSI heat exchangers, sports exhaust, plus a lightweight flywheel and sports clutch. All these changes add significantly to the power output, now estimated at around 230 bhp.
Light yellow bodywork, 15” Fuchs alloys and a fully refurbished Targa roof, finished in black mohair.
Beautiful interior, finished in the finest black German hide, with houndstooth details. Heated Recaro seats, leather stitched Luisi steering wheel, plus upgraded door and dash speakers for the Blaupunkt ‘Frankfurt’ radio.
