William I’Anson Ltd are delighted to offer, The Ex-HRH Prince Bertil of Sweden, Per Larsson,1926 Bugatti Type 35 Grand Prix. This is an incredibly rare opportunity to acquire such a wonderfully complete and original example of Ettore Bugatti's legendary Type 35 Grand Prix. With a continuous and well documented history dating back to 1932 and retaining so many of its original components, including most of the bodywork, this is one of only a few such complete and original examples of these early GP cars left in circulation.

Delivered new to Bugatti’s famous Paris show room on the 10th of July 1926. It was raced at Spa in 1934 before being purchased, and raced, by HRH Prince Bertil of Sweden in the mid 1930s.

Also raced on the ice in the 1947 Winter Grand Prix at Rommehen, by then owner Gustav Nobelius, before being uprated to 35C specification, by him, in the late 1940s. Accompanied by a remarkable history file including a comprehensive number of original invoices from Bugatti Automobiles dating back to 1955.

With a copy of its original Swedish registration document starting in the name of HRH Prince Bertil in 1939, remarkably this cars history is accounted for all bar the first six years of its 97 year life and it has not been offered publicly for sale, as far as we are aware, certainly since 1966.
