Finished in iconic World Rally Blue and sporting the desirable Prodrive Perfomance Pack this low mileage “blobeye” STI looks fantastic against our studio backdrop. The paintwork presents in overall excellent condition with a lovely shine following a machine polish by our in-house detailer. In line with the age and mileage there a couple of small marks to note including a dusting of light frontal stone chips, but given that the car has resided in the UK since new both the body and underside are remarkably clean with no corrosion issues to report. The headlights are also nice and clear and there are no signs of accident damage. Readily equipped with 18-inch Prodrive alloys and gold Brembo calipers – all in excellent condition – this fantastic example is sure to draw many admiring glances out on the road.

The STI sports seats present in fine condition with absolutely no damage or signs of heavy use. Free from any bobbling the blue Alcantara retains a deep and uniform colour, and the black cloth is pristine. Other commonly worn items such as the dash, leather steering wheel and gear knob are also in fine order with only a few very minor marks to speak of. Some nice upgrades over standard include a smart Kenwood multimedia system, a dash-mounted gauge pod, and a discreet HKS turbo timer for a proper cool-down of the turbo after more spirited drives. The blue footwell carpets are well protected by original Type UK mats, and the AC blows icy cold following a pressure test and re-gas at the current mileage.

Freshly inspected by our trusted classic car workshop the mechanics of this low mileage example remain in fettle. There are 8 stamps in the original maintenance booklet and the last service was carried out by East Kent Subaru in October 2022 at 57,949 miles. The car was upgraded to desirable Prodrive specification in July 2005 and as you would expect with the low mileage it still feels as tight as a drum.

The WRX STi PPP’s improved performance is produced through a carefully developed combination of matched exhaust and engine management modifications. This combination of enhancements boost peak power to 305PS at 6,000rpm (previously 265PS from the standard engine) and deliver an impressive 405Nm of torque at 4,000rpm, an improvement of 18% on the maximum torque of the standard car.

First registered in November 2004 this attractive ‘Type UK’ STI has driven just 61,143 miles in the hands of only 5 registered keepers. The accompanying History File comprises the dealer-supplied Subaru document wallet and owners’ manuals, the original service booklet with 8 stamps, the Prodrive Performance Package certificate of fitment, a raft of maintenance invoices, numerous MOT certificates, a fresh HPI certificate, and the V5C registration document showing 4 previous owners.
